 In 1964 Dorland made a commitment to make a feeder wagon that would be the ultimate wagon for the cattle industry. After visiting with various investors and prospects he decided to go out on his own, build and sell his design. Starting from a remodeled chicken coop he made his first wagon. After much work he had a second order and thus started to begin his dream in the business. Along with his wife they made another commitment, sold all of their farm items and pursue this fully. With the strong desire and with God’s backing they were on their way to making their dreams a success. To this day they still have that commitment as does the other family members involved in the business. The words “Building for Jesus” written on the sign of the factory states their belief and thankfulness of  their success.
The business has grown now and the rest of the family have joined to fulfill “DADS” dream and make Schuler Manufacturing one of the most respected mixer companies in the feed mixing world.
Starting with a Better Feeder wagon, it has now progressed into the Vertical Mixer market. Producing one of the well built machine on the market today with various options.
